Information of Online Registration

1.    All the Congress participants must be online-registered through this website. Registration is NOT completed until payment is received. Official participants （including the graduate students whose posters are accepted by Organizing Committee） can take part in all the sessions of the Congress, three receptions and cultural activities arranged by the Organizing Committee.

2.     The deadline of Early Registration (RMB 1040.00) is March 1, 2015. After March 1 is the Standard Registration (RMB 1600.00). Executive member of CISH and organizers of panels are free of payment for registration. The Early Registration of Accompany Person (RMB 520.00) is March 1, 2015, after March 1 is the Standard Registration (RMB 800.00).

3.   Undergraduate, graduate and Ph. D students are encouraged to register to the Congress, and they can enjoy free registration fee. The number of undergraduate students is limited to 100, the graduate and Ph. D students are limited to 200. Please submit the PDF or photo of your student ID. Registered students can get the congress document package and take part in all the sessions.

4.    On-site registration will be available, but the Congress can’t guarantee they can take part in all the activities. Early registration is strongly recommended.

Introduction of 2015 Congress

The International Congress of Historical Science started in 1900. It is held every five years and has already been held 21 times since the original congress. Being the most influential academic activity of historical science, it enjoys a reputation of “Olympics of historians”. The biggest number of participants in former sessions has surpassed 3000; though it is the first time for the congress to be held in Asia, we presume the participants this time more than any of former congresses. The 22^nd ICHS will be held in Jinan, Shandong, the hometown of Confucius and Mencius.

The features of the 22^nd ICHS

The 22^nd ICHS, after the successfully-held Beijing Olympics, will again be an opportunity to show the long history and deep culture of China, and its recent economic and cultural booming to the world. It is a stage to show the history and cultures from all over the world and for the communication and research of them. In our preparations, we will set up an international coordination platform for historical research and a cyber-platform to show the history and culture of each country; and there will be a series of activities for the communication of history and different cultures, such as global historical and cultural weeks. There will be almost 50 topics for the 22^nd ICHS. During the term of the congress, participants will fully enjoy the fascination of the history and culture of hospitable Shandong – a big cultural province in China.
